Memories of the road and of friends met...
Argentinian and Chilean Tierra del Fuego - In Puerto Williams I was very kindly welcomed by Roberto, the local sailor, who kindly provided me with a Micalvi sailboat on which I stayed for the few days I spent there.
Returning from Puerto Williams to Ushuaia, I met new French friends aboard the sailboat Tanana, on its way to Antarctica.

My cyling friend from Valais
I met Philippe in Chile on board the ferry from Porvenir to Punta Arenas and he kindly hosted me for a night in the apartment he just had rented there. His project: to cycle some 3000 km in Chile up to the capital Santiago.

Yoni the peasant from Tierra del Fuego
I just met him at the side of the road and without me asking anything, he simply invited me to his home: wonderful genuine people...

I met the kings of the air...
On the road to Puerto Natales, I saw a kind of hill and as I approached it, I saw 3 strange and above all enormous animals, they looked like dinosaurs because I could see them 200 m away. And there, quickly, I decided to go up the hill and ambush them. In fact it was 3 huge condors, absolutely incredible, and I had a truly magical moment there, a little out of time. Finally I stayed almost 2 hours watching them hover on this single hill 50 km away. Their wingspan must have been well over 2 m and they flew with great grace and I dreamed of having my paraglider with me, there, to share this unforgettable moment with them..
